I can’t tell why exactly—maybe it’s because of the Mignola vibe in Dane’s character design—but this is my pick of the month! I also love this moment in the story. He wants to dance. As Joan points out, the band is done for the night. He doesn’t care, he just wants to hold her close, to let go before going back to hell. And Joan, on her end, is putting her guards down…
