Loving Killing time Issue 3 The Help is an amazing character very cool love the idea. Could you. Send us the script for that fight between Batman and The Help? The push in from the wide to the direction that the help is facing away from camera but doges. Was that a purely art choice? Or did you imagine that lay out. The call backs to people bat man trains with brilliant. Would love to see the words you chose to give your artist as the last bat man script was done so open.

Regarding Jeph Loeb's Batman work, it seems like a big influence on Tom's (I mean Loeb advanced the Catwoman relationship the most before him, and I liked the homage to Hush in Batman #80 with the Aristotle and Plato quotes). Plus the shared writing style of being less wordy and of allowing the art to breathe.

I feel like creator OCs are usually never picked up by other writers anyway (if they're unpopular no one cares, if they're popular then it feels like the creator calls dibs on the character).

So Fire fans can look forward to Human Target #7. Guy Gardner fans on the other hand...still wondering if that was a drunken dream sequence or some Sanctuary-style shenanigans. Also interesting that Tom is participating in Dark Crisis - the first time he's tying into an event in a while.

P.S.: I read "Coriolanus" on Tom's recommendation, and it's definitely one of Shakespeare's best plays. Patriotism and why we fight for our country, the merits of democracy, there's a lot in there.

Questions: What would you like to see the comics industry (especially the big two) do differently or at least more of?

What do you think is the best path into mainstream comics if you are only a writer and not an artist? Seems like most people get picked up from writing jobs in other mediums that don't always translate well.

Tom, I understand if you don't want to answer this, but I feel compelled to ask: BATMAN; KILLING TIME is so intricately structured, with flashforwards and flashbacks ranging from a few seconds to several hundred years. I strikes me that the planning in this one must have taken forever! DId you have everything worked out in terms of previsely what happened in all six issues before even sitting down to write the script of the first one?

I love “A Once Crowded Sky.” What are your thoughts on it all these years later? Have you reread it recently?

One question 🙋🏻‍♂️: Is Batman/Catwoman considered else-world, or in continuity? If it’s in continuity, will we be seeing the effects of these events in upcoming issues?

Love the idea of another podcast showcasing more of your work, Tom. Elsa’s podcast and interviews are also gravitating to listen to.

Was wondering if there is any update on Sheriff of Babylon Season 2?

For me, I’d wish the podcast was an hour long. Hopefully you come to Boston this year, Mr. King. 🙏🏼

Cannot wait to listen to this. Even skipped it in my podcast queue so that I can save it for my afternoon commute. Should be plenty of uniterreupted time to listen.
